卡萝生产当日，大家都聚集在医院为卡罗尔接生，气氛紧张而又兴奋。罗斯和苏珊还是见面就吵，抢着做事，然后又为孩子名字的事发生争执，双双被卡萝哄出门外；二人正好走到杂物间，菲比随手把门关上，然后就被锁在里面。罗斯和苏珊争执不断，菲比坦言自己悲惨童年，二人停止争吵。菲比打算从通风管里爬出去，正好有清洁工来开门。罗斯和苏珊及时到达产房，卡萝生下儿子，二人一致同意起名为Ben”本”，正是杂物间清洁工服上的名字。
莫妮卡非常喜欢小孩，看到妇产科一个又一个小孩十分伤神，渴望有一个自己的孩子，钱德安慰她说，如果二人40岁仍单身，就一起生孩子。但莫妮卡并不领情，还不服气的反问，我哪点看起来像嫁不出去的人。
